Avivit Ballas Baranes
Avivit Ballas Baranes is a multidisciplinary artist whose works have been displayed in solo exhibitions in some of the most prominent art galleries around the world, as well as Israeli landmarks such as the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art. She has won multiple art accolades in France, where she graduated from the Sorbonne and lived for many years. She won the “Outstanding Artist of the Year” award from the Ministry of Immigration in Israel. Avivit’s art addresses themes of identity, belonging, and the different manifestations and meanings of borders. In her works, the material she uses constitutes the heart of the piece, and through it she creates a visual space that expresses her artistic language.
