"You will need buds" - Hannah Assyri

Curator: Hagit Omni Rubinstein
Opening: Thursday 7.7.22 from 20.00 - 00.00
Friday 8.7.22 from 12.00 - 19.00
Saturday 9.7.22 from 14.00 - 23.00

Hannah Assyri, a non-disciplinary artist , explores in her condensed pop-up exhibition "Painting Buds" the transformation of the image, the painting, into an ornamental object, a pleasing and spectacular eye-catching decoration.
Contrary to popular belief, for the artist the process of turning the painting into a coveted and cost-effective consumer product is a subversive act.
The exhibition consists mostly of works created especially for sale at fairs and stalls at a popular price. They are manufactured on unconventional substrates that are all characterized by a frame. Emphasize the framework in principle as an act of copying the importance of the content of the image to the frame.
The move of "Nitzurach Nitzanim" is the extraction of ornamental products from the Kraft districts, to the field of beautiful art and the transformation of their symbolic and monetary value.
"Painting Buds" is the second in a trilogy of exhibitions. The first of these was the blatant "painting" , and the next in line would be " Painting" , in which the decorative and commercial transformation would mature and prosper.
The exhibition will open on Thursday, July 7 at 8 p.m.
On the opening night, there will be performance performances: "Metronome" by artist and writer Doron Braunstein , the show "Night City" by artist and poet Vered Nimrod. And the performance of the performer Boaz Hillel "gaping between shrouds".
On Saturday, July 9, at 4:00 PM, there will be a gallery talk with curator Hagit Omni-Rubinstein.
The Yigal Bashan Open Stage Line , conducted by Goni Marlboro, will close the exhibition at 11 p.m.
