The new book - Moshe Gershuni: Prints 2014-1979 , written by Dr. Gideon Ofrat and designed by Magen and Adam Halutz, covers the artist's work in the print medium during the 35 years he worked in various print workshops in Israel and around the world. On the occasion of the publication of the book, the Jerusalem Printing Workshop will hold a retrospective exhibition, with a selection of Gershuni's works, from the various workshops (Jerusalem Printing Workshop, Harel Printers, Jacob Samuel, Burston Graphics Center, Givat Haviva Printing Workshop, Bezalel Printing Workshop) . The exhibition will cover the two galleries in the workshop, the exhibition was curated by Arik Kilmanik, director of the Jerusalem Printing Workshop, and will open on Thursday, January 13 at 19:00.
Moshe Gershuni (2017-1932) was born in Tel Aviv and grew up in Herzliya. Beginning in the 1980s, print became a dominant medium in his work. He created more than 250 series of prints and master books in mesh, stone print and engraving techniques. Over the years he has presented about 12 solo exhibitions in the field of printmaking, and participated in dozens of group print exhibitions.
