One space, three artists on their way, what does it mean to place the three on one site? How does each of them use the language of the material to find the meaning in it? What is the communication channel in which he chose to talk to the viewer and what volume did he take for himself to fill in the material in, and at what pace will he progress? What are the tools he chooses and how does he create the dialogue between the material and the work.
How will the parts connect within the whole and on what scale will they get along to reach or not reach balance. And in an overall look - what is the power that matter has to create processes and activate the imagination.
Gad Ullman uses the current installation to convey the feeling of moving from the old studio to the new place. The installation combines sculpture in simple and rough wood with a continuous strip of prints on brown wrapping paper and a video illustrating the past.
Rebecca Margolin deals with materials related to forest issues. It uses trees that have been cut down for non-commercial purposes. Through engraving, carving and sculpting in wood, she tries to restore its aesthetic value.
Through photography, Vladi Alon tries to find a hidden world within shapes hidden in stains, old scraps, tree trunks and pieces of consciousness. The elements he discovers relate to our childhood, in which we discovered whole universes in our imagination.
