There is something powerful and evokes conflicting feelings of amazement and unrest in the sculptures of Avner Levinson. Not only does he manage to put abnormal movement and emotional intensities into the inanimate clay, but despite the crude, and even to some extent gross, of the contours of his works - there is also something subtle, sensitive and poignant about them. A kind of paradox of power and vulnerability, movement and statics, concrete and abstract, physical and mental that resonate with them - as if from an open wound that continues to bleed.

At the same time Levinson is a very well-known artist and is very connected to the artistic canon and he maintains internal dialogues with other artists, such as Cezanne, while creating a dance that is dance and spiral, connecting images and emotions, without slipping into generics and maintaining a beating heart of authentic creativity. Create the enigmatic and one-time expression of his sculptures that accompanies the viewer many hours later.

Like any great work of art, Levinson's sculptures have something mysterious but at the same time completely exposed and raw, and especially and despite the static of the materials, something alive with a strong impact.
