Yossi Cohen-Zarnikin, the 16th generation in Israel from what they managed to count. Super-Realism was born in the 1970s. Many realist painters photograph the contents of the paintings, and then copy the enlarged photograph detail to detail. Many of them work in a color splash technique, without brushing. Technical accuracy and the method of spraying require an objectively objective look at the subject of painting. Unlike many of the artists in this style, Cohen-Zarnkin paints with oil. Although he is often assisted by photographs, he sometimes paints directly the object facing him as in the silent paintings of centuries gone by. Painting in oil gives his paintings a sense of warmth and intimacy. At the same time, the accuracy of his paintings is not perfect. The theme - in this case bottles of wine, trophies, crates - is perfect, but sub-themes like wall, floor, table used as background, abrasive. This is an unmediated statement about the importance of the subjects in his paintings.
"In 1985, I purchased a bottle of wine from the first bottles of the Golan Heights Winery, and since then I have accumulated a large collection of old wine bottles, and in 1985 I was a member of the wine and cigar club. The current exhibition is a documentation of a largely male culture: wine of all kinds, drinking utensils, and of course cigars. The works are tight, minimalist, concrete and not decorated with unnecessary decorations. In this respect, nothing shakes the viewer apart from the wonder of the technical skill, romanticism, sensuality and classics of the wine bottles that "flow" and touch the viewer, like a fine product that time can not.
