Shlomo Az-Ari is a multidisciplinary artist, a native of Tiberias. For eight generations he has been engaged in painting, music, cinema, writing and design. Shlomo wrote and composed six music albums. Produced, wrote and directed three full-length films and several short films. He has written and published 17 books on a variety of subjects. He studied communications and film at Kinneret College and design studies at Tel Hai College.
Shlomo Autodidact is proud. In his youth when he was engaged in architecture he wrote the forms in an architectural way and this is his writing. The materials he uses are a type of writing. The painting is part of a complex of music and poetry. One completes the other. He began painting at the age of 17 when there was a teacher strike. The first painting was made from a shell of an exploded mortar. For him it was symbolic because a cosmic explosion created a work. And from here everything began. A dam burst of inspiration. Every day he drew four paintings. Slowly he came to other fields like poetry and music, and music was created from the writing. Every painting is a world. Every painting has meaning. The napkin in the restaurant is also an impression and has significance .

It is hard for him to explain why he used one form or another. It was created from subconscious. He finds the DNA in the painting and then the skeleton is advanced. He has the tools to dress on the DNA. It turned out to be a sort of subconscious therapy. He does not paint in any known style, and his style can certainly be called "Az-Ari Art ."
