Curator: Lori Pashnica
Etti Maor Born in 1947 from Kibbutz Afikim, married with 3 children and four grandchildren. She worked as a cutter and sewed in a sewing machine. She had always loved art. She embroidered, sculpted in paper pulp, made ceramic dishes, and built cardboard furniture.
Her wishful thinking was to study painting. In 2005, after recovering from a serious illness and rehabilitation, she began painting for her pleasure. Upon leaving for retirement she enrolled in the painting department of the kibbutz. In order to improve her education, she studied in short and different courses in various workshops and colleges outside the kibbutz. Four years later she began to paint oil autodidactically from the Internet.
Etti paints landscapes using her photographs. At first she painted flowers and in time moved on to the abstract style.
She likes to go to canvas alone without prior preparation, choosing colors according to her feelings and mood. She tried with brushes, moved to a pulley and spit. She felt a kind of joy of liberation, the colors touching her soul, and they were in front of her eyes.
Over time, when she received good feedback, she even began participating in group exhibitions in Israel and abroad, including:

2017 - Group at the Leo Roth Afikim Gallery, curator of the late David Nativ.

Michal Pinchas, 68, was born in Haifa, the mother of two and the grandmother of five grandchildren.
In 1986 she and her family arrived in Ginosar. In 1992, she began her studies in art and enrolled in the center of the kibbutz in Tzemach, in the Jordan Valley, where she studied the basics of drawing with Yitzhak de Lange. In water colors Oranim studied at the Oranim College for three years: two years Painting at Aquarelle with Danny Zack and a year in an artist workshop with Yehuda Navez Anterosophic painting with Ayelet Hashahar Sela in Ilania, a painting workshop through guided imagination and two years Rika Russo workshop in the Jordan Valley. She studied her skills and learned in a painting workshop through guided imagination
With Geula Galili on Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar.
In 2012, when she retired, it was clear to her that the time had come to devote all of her to painting. "The fire burned in my bones," as she put it, and she did not stop painting. She participated from time to time in various workshops. Every job for her is a process of experimenting with color, matter and form. She comes up without any planning or thought, chooses the colors at random, spreading without any order
Or logic, while rotating the canvas horizontally and vertically. Usually the painting changes from day to day and sometimes even from hour to hour.
Every piece for her is like a child's birth. She cultivates it, works on it, until it receives a unique expression and meaning.
Sometimes when she travels in Israel or abroad, she takes pictures of landscapes and nature, then paints them with inspiration and inspiration through her imagination, while listening to music, freeing herself from the world of reality and letting the brush and colors lead her to unknown places.
Michal paints in aquarelle, pastel oil, dried pastels, oil, but mostly likes to paint acrylic.
Since 2015, she has participated in exhibitions, including:

2015 - A solo exhibition at the "Beitenu" College of Pensioners in the Jordan Valley.

The hand-in-hand exhibition was chosen by works of two different artists who combine colorfulness that expresses dynamism, satiety and aesthetics, and on the other hand, the pastoral silence when beauty exists and balances the duality in works. The magical part of the work, in which dreams and illusions reign, the storms of the heart express and break through the energy that ignites their instinct. Color produces joy and is mixed with one big celebration.

The artists Michal Pinhas and Etti Maor march together for the same purpose - to receive recognition and great exposure, not to stop painting and to create many more years.

All works are for purchase.
