Curator: Lori Pashnitsa
Orit Sagiv was born in Givatayim and currently lives in Ramat Sapir, Haifa. Married with two daughters and grandson.
From childhood she loved to paint and sculpt, and that is what led her to turn art into a profession that has practical utility and channel art into practical and practical places. She completed architecture studies at the Technion and later worked as an architect in the architectural offices and planning department of the Israel Lands Authority in Haifa.

In 2006 she decided that she did not reject the painting for pension and began to study in an orderly fashion with the artist teacher Varda Solel Shamai, who gave her tools that were used all along. Today she continues to paint with Varda to be an artistic and social framework.
Artist Orit Sagiv paints in a mostly realistic style. However, she is curious and tends to experiment with different techniques that enrich her. In 2010 began to develop its additional love, photography. She enrolled in photography courses, in order to improve her composition and especially the technical aspect. Since then, she has taken a lot of photographs as well. In recent years, as part of her travels and trips in Israel and abroad, she draws inspiration from the surroundings and then paints, while trying to capture in time paintings the same small, fleeting moments that are captured in the camera. The study of internal studies enables it to create a barrier between orderly and familiar life, to break conventional ways of thinking and to allow the right wing to act. To a place of mystery that has revelation and concealment that sharpens situations. She uses soft, precise colors in the folds of the skin, her facial expressions and her deep expression in her eyes.
The same is true of photography and painting. In terms of composition, contrast, light and shadow, processing and emotions. Many times people make the mistake of thinking that her photograph is a painting and vice versa. Her strong connection to emotions is expressed both in painting and photography in that she likes to photograph people and paint portraits in human situations and it is no wonder that in recent years she has chosen to engage in personal coaching and relationships.

Orit participated in solo exhibitions and group exhibitions, including:
2018 - "She is already 70" at the Artists' House in Haifa. Curator - Shaked Shapira.
2018 - "Peeping into the Port" group at Hangar 3 Tel Aviv Port.
2018 - "Platform 70", group at the Space Gallery in Gan Ha'Ir, Tel Aviv, curator of Solomon Leviev.
2018 - "Display Image" - Group at the Space Gallery Gan Ha'Ir Tel Aviv, curator of Ike Shoval.
2016 - Solo exhibition at Ein Hod Gallery "NON CONCEPT" Curator - Daniella Talmor.
2009 - 2016 presented five group exhibitions at the Artists' House (Chagall House) in Haifa.

"Episodes" This is a second solo exhibition by the artist Orit Sagiv.
It describes a single picture, or a scene from reality, or situations in a system of conditions and circumstances which are appended to a whole or a certain sequence of creation.
The exhibition selected works that emphasize her abilities as a talented painter in a realistic and abstract style. Some of which depict figures in motion with vibrations and turns, as in the series of dancers. Mysterious characters behind which there is a human story and the observer is left only to imagine and create his own story.
Abstract style is expressed in the work "eruption" - painting full of expression, meaning, emotion and intention. Likewise, in the urban work "The Big Apple" - the viewer of the picture senses the tremendous power in the stormy life of the big city.
The artist Orit Sagiv, a charismatic figure without any effort to be such. Surging from the inside and yet-so soft in her twisted strokes and brush strokes. The art of painting and photography, dealing with personal coaching and relationships, forms a large part of her time dimension, creating a broad coherent arc. She hopes to continue working for many years on everything she loves as she intends to live - with much love, harmony and vitality.
