Yosef Yosade ?Painter ?Born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania. PhD in history Vilnius University, studied painting at Vilnius Art School. Practiced in the studio of Henrikas Cerapas. Since 2003 lives and works near Jerusalem.
Yosef Yosade uses painting as a means of self-expression and for examination of the exterior. His sensual, intuitive contact with the canvas is not solely restricted to the subjective projection of his individual world perception. The softest strokes caress our eyes and speak of metaphysically sensual presence.

“My art is not conceptual” – states the artist. “My art is what I see. This land is a paradise for eyes and soul. Creation is of more value to me than the end result. Painting is only the means to understand the essence”.

The Land is his constant inspiration and ubiquitous characteristic of both the form and its essence, the manifestation of the Divine order established by the Creator himself. A real Artist admires the greatness of our world; rather than attempting to diminish it by forcefully imposing his “ego”, the Artist meticulously follows the lines etched by the Almighty: up and down, left and right, vertical-horizontal.  In his contemplation of the Divine order the artist uses the process of painting as the means of defining the undefined, providing the structure to the unstructured soil and making it distinctively visible".
