Rothschild Art Gallery is proud to present a solo exhibition by the painter Ann Ben-Or.
Most of the paintings in the exhibition were created during the eruption of the corona, a period that caused her to gather her thoughts and work more from home and less in the studio.
The exhibition will feature portraits of family and friends alongside a few views from her area of residence, Nataf.
"An essential element in Ben-Or's work is movement. As someone who was educated on the realistic tradition of representing perspective and figurative composition, Ben-Or composes a pictorial language based on a constant movement of shapes, lines and color surfaces." Irena Gordon
Ben-Or, a native of Belgium, a graduate of the artist class at Israel Hirschberg's drawing and painting workshop, has exhibited over the past twenty years in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, England and Israel. In 2017, the painting "Carmel" was chosen to participate in the prestigious portrait exhibition BP Portrait Award and was displayed at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
